Pipe- fittings- columns- dip-pipes - vessels and espansion joints

The protef ^® trade mark identifies the range of manufactured pipes, fittings and other components lined in fluoropolymers (PTFE, PFA, PFA-PR, PVDF) or thermoplastic copolymer (PP), from DN 15 to DN 600.

Parts of larger size, also beyond size DN 2000, lined in fluoropolymers (PTFE, FEP, PFA, PVDF, ETFE, ECTFE) or thermoplastic copolymers (PP and PE),  are available on request.

Linings

The linings are made using the following materials:

• virgin paste-extruded PTFE according to ASTM D4895
• virgin isostatic-moulded PTFE according to ASTM D4894
• virgin PFA according to ASTM D3307 type II
• virgin PVDF copolymer according to ASTM D638
• virgin PP copolymer according to ASTM D3222-99

Re-cycled or re-worked materials are not used in any of our manufacturing processes.

All steel components can be also lined in conductive PTFE or PFA, whose properties of finished parts are identical to virgin material, with the additional purpose of dissipating electro-static charges through the liner. PFA linings are injected into the housing and are keyed to the steel Internally and on the flange faces by dovetail grooves.

This method ensures vacuum resistance even under the most severe working conditions. The universal chemical resistance of PFA gives to finished products high resistance to permeation and diffusion.  As far as pipes and elbows are concerned the forced insertion of PTFE into the steel (and the subsequent stress relieving process) assures vacuum resistance and limits considerably the effects of gas and vapour diffusion; the same parts are also available with PFA, PVDF or PP lining as already make for fittings like Tee, Crosses and Instrument Tees.

PTFE Expansion Joints for critical applications

Available from NB 25 to NB 600 with PN 10/16 or ANSI 150 flanges and convolutions from 2 to 10. Depending on working conditions it's possible to select different executions such as: different wall thickness, reinforced rings even inside the convolutions and outside metal reinforced shell.

Specials

Special parts & manifolds according to customer's specifications or construction with low temperature carbon steel or stainless steel various grades complete the range of protef ^® products.
